New Freebie on the Covenant of God
A friend of Comprehensive Christianity and Joe’s has been listening to the 5 part sermon series on the Covenant of God. In that series, Pastor Morecraft refers listeners to provided notes. They wanted to know if the notes were available. Well, as it turned out they were readily accessible having been a document captured in the scanning side of the project here at CC.
Having just wrapped up the first volume of Luke I decided this would make a solid quick-hit project. This isn’t really a book, but does have an easy to use and reference outline with important details to help you in your retention of this extremely important topic. Don’t think it is that important? Too esoteric and “angels on a pin” for you? Think again! Misunderstanding of the Covenant of God is why:
Christians differ on whether to baptize their babies.
Dispensationalism / Rapturism persists against all their own failed predictions and timetables. This also teaches disunity in the church with OT “believers” saved differently than NT “believers”. Forget direct comparisons to Adam and Abraham, etc. and “true Israel”.
Most evangelical America endorses the view of Jesus’ continued humiliation and failure as the “big loser” in history. If that statement is hard to read without recoiling, good, it may be time to do some reading, praying and rethinking.
Church elders subordinated their church to the state in bowing to do exactly whatever is pronounced from “on high” for however long they pronounce it.
Ethnicity via melanin content is able to be wielded inside the church as a club to turn blessings into “privileges” disturbing the unity of the church. Unity of the church being something that goes back all the way to the garden, Adam and Eve, the first church members in Covenant unity with us believers today.
I could add to this list all day, but need to get this email out.
You can get the notes in EPUB or MOBI for free!
You can listen to the 5 part series from the Listen page for the Covenant of God.
